This book is an exciting adventure right from the very beginning. It begins when Darren Shan and his best friend Steve Leonard go to a show called Cirque du Freak, which is a place where special people go to show off their talents. Some of the strange but wonderful ones included, snake boy, wolf man, Hans Hands and Madame Octa the performing spider! Also there, was the mysterious Mr Crepsley. A man who would change Darren's life forever! I would definitely recommend this book and the others in the series if you like your stories with a bit of bite!!!
